Maya belongs to an a tribe of females called the Amazon, she was a perfect warrior so the Queen Marlana challenged her to a fight, Maya lost but the queen had to fight with all her strength that she granted Maya that she was going to be the next queen after her death. One day they took some missioners possessions and they found a seal they knew that the seal was the one that sealed the demon Gargos so Marlana decided to protect it. One day a warlord sent troops to attack them so Maya and have of the forced left to the battle living Queen Marlana with on defense, so the warlord went personally and killed the Queen. After turning back they said that the queen can’t be Maya because it was her fault, so in order to become queen she had to bring the sealed that the Queen Marlana was protecting.
